This place is more than just a space. It’s history (Nonno Felice’s specialty grocery). It’s a community (A reference point for the different organizations of the neighborhood). It’s a place where we welcome travelers (The Left Luggage Room and it’s services). It’s a partnership between Italian factories for Made In Italy products and mid-century vintage furnishings (LLR the accessories line). It’s a porter for the residents of our Colosseo neighborhood.
It’s the future with an old heart.
The idea of the Left Luggage Room was birthed from an urge to create a new connection with the neighborhood where I was born.
A neighborhood deeply changed since the times of my grandfather Felice’s famed specialty grocery, but still rich in inspiration, history, and opportunity. The historic rebranding of our neighborhood as a tourist portal led me to focus on the different possible types of services we could offer to improve hospitality and welcoming of visitors that choose to stay in our historic rione (Roman quarter). The strength of my project is the baggage storage or Left Luggage Room, the nerve center of the business, created based on courtesy, professionalism, as a creative resource to serve both tourists and our community...the place where my brand LLR was conceived which makes quality products rigorously Made In Italy.

2017: Federico takes back his grandfather’s original gourmet storefront location with the idea of transforming it into something to share and benefit the neighborhood.
The people behind the Left Luggage Room
Federico: The man behind the concept of the Left Luggage Room, 4th generation born and raised in the Celio quarter opening and operating his vacation rental business in the heart of this neighborhood since 2004. Deeply passionate for Italian made quality craftsmanship and the neighborhood where he grew up in his great grandfather’s specialty grocery. Director
Wesley, Emerson e Norberto: Core members of our staff that thoroughly maintain and check the apartments before they warmly welcome our guests. The three manage the properties together with Federico since 2013 and thanks to their tireless efforts, the properties of Restart (the vacation rentals associated with The Left Luggage Room) have received countless positive reviews, rewards and recognition and thus have been able to expand their property offerings.
Operations Management
Gloria:Creative collaborator and social media manager who has known Federico and his family since 2006 when she was studying abroad in university. After her studies, she returned in 2010 to help Federico with marketing his properties and to learn how to improve client experience by bringing her unique American sense from abroad. Marco: The visual artist and creative of our team who has brought our handsketched website to life. Marco shares our same passion for the Rome that once was given his uber-Roman roots having grown up between the historic center of Campo de’ Fiori and Corviale. Visual & Graphic Artist
Armando e Antonio: Designers of timeless Italian ready to wear and shoes, and also 4th generation artisans that help bring Made In Italy to the rest of the world who also share our passion for everything vintage.
